I had wanted jambayan to be a fairly light site, but the recent events in Maguindanao have forced me to post rather serious articles. While that, of course, is needed, I also realize that I may be adding to the misperception of Mindanao as a “war-torn” and “lawless” island. The truth is just the opposite: my Mindanao is a peaceful land, filled with beautiful people and abounding in natural resources. I’ve been digging through my photo albums and have posted some of them here to give you a peek of what Mindanao has. I’ll be uploading more in the coming days so do come back every once in a while.
